Tips For Launching Your Own Business By Judith Lindenberger
This November marks my two-year anniversary of starting my own
human resources consulting business. As I look back on the
years, I am amazed at what I accomplished and learned. If you
are thinking about starting a business, read on!
I always dreamed about having my own business, talked to friends
about it, and imagined how it might be. But it was only after
two people in my life gave me a push, that I started doing
instead of dreaming. ...Read the rest of this entry »

Today's competitive marketplace for consulting services is no
longer responsive to the marketing strategies that worked in the
past. The services you provide should speak volumes about your
consulting business. Think about what happens when you hear
phrases such as, 'the ultimate driving machine', 'Don't leave
home without it', and 'Just do it'. Chances are good that you
can immediately associate them with BMW, American Express, and
Nike. These companies have mastered 'brand brilliance.' ...Read the rest of this entry »

We all want mentors and role models -- but sometimes we realize
that what works for "them" won't work for "us." Why? Here are
some possible reasons.
(1) Your product is different. Henry helps people create
marketing pitches. Jane helps people enter the world of public
speaking for money. Hortense offers life coaching to successful
business owners. Almost every e-business can make money from
Henry's service. Hortense offers intangible outcomes achieved
through a process.
(2) Your target market ...Read the rest of this entry »

If it were easy, everyone would do IT; everyone would have IT.
That "IT" is prosperity and we're all trying to achieve that
stage in our lives where wealth, health, success are a daily
part of our lives.
So what's the problem?
Why aren't some of us living a prosperous life?
Read on, my friends...
1) CLARITY
Many people don't know what they truly want in life. They have
not clarified exactly what they desire and where they want to be
within a year, 5 years even 3 months. Because they don't ...Read the rest of this entry »

What is Stress? Stress is an interpretation of an event or
circumstance which is understood to be a threat. It can be any
force or pressure put on a system (living or nonliving) which
may result in a need for the system to adapt or change. Stress
on human beings is like a rubber band. You also stretch to meet
the environment around you, the demands of your lifestyle, and
the pressures you put on yourself. If pulled too far, stress
manifests itself in real conditions mentally, physically, ...Read the rest of this entry »

Change or Die! To Change Your Organization, Hire a Business Coach
By David s. Levine
It is a common business axiom ' change or die. As a small or
mid-sized business owner or a manager, there will be times you
will need to make changes in your organization but may not be
sure how to go about it. Change is hard to implement and even
harder to sustain. Think about all of the people who have
trouble sticking to a diet or quitting smoking or keeping up
with an exercise program, let alone just ...Read the rest of this entry »

So there they were. Thousands of years ago. Walking about the
Garden of Eden in complete freedom. Naked and unashamed. It was
Paradise. Literally. The word Eden is synonymous with "paradise"
and is related to a Hebrew word meaning "bliss" or "delight."
If you remember this Bible story, you know that God had just
previously - over a seven day period - created the entire
universe. Everything. Including man, who was created on the
sixth day.
At the end of the sixth day, God gazed upon all that had ...Read the rest of this entry »

His words echo in my consciousness. Even now - nearly 20 years
later.
"You can learn something from every person you encounter in
your life."
These were the words spoken by my 9th grade Latin teacher, Mr.
Harker. It's unclear why his words have stuck with me all these
years. After all, how much wisdom could come from one who spends
his days teaching teenagers a dead language they'll never use?
Little did I know then. Thank you Mr. Harker.

We worked together for about a year via telephone. It was a bit
sad, but we both knew our work together was complete - for now.
As I reflected on all the work she'd done and subsequent
progress she'd made over the past year, it made me realize that
real change in our lives usually doesn't happen quickly (unless
you consider a year to be "quick").
She came into my life wanting to create more balance in her
life, "get out of ruts," become more adventurous and create a

I had a really neat experience this morning. I was having a
conversation with a friend when he suddenly asked me to chat
with his wife and briefly explain what "life coaching" was
about. Although I was a bit surprised by his sudden request, I
happily agreed.
Within seconds, I heard his wife Meg cheerfully greeting me on
the other end of the phone. She began by explaining that she was
in the middle of "cleaning gunk from the drain," but she wanted
to know what life coaching was all about. I ...Read the rest of this entry »
